February 20, 2016: It was a great night. Great temperature, great food, great campfire, but not good snow. About 95 people showed up to enjoy the evening. Most hiked the trail. Some tried snowshoes and a few tried skis. Lots of good conversation.
 
Many contributed to the donation jar. There were 4 membership renewals and one new membership - a Lifetime Member. It was the first time they joined. Saw me putting new names on the Lifetime Plaque and asked how they get their name up there. I told them, gave them a newsletter and after they left there was a check.
 
Thanks go out to all the individuals who helped make this event a success by providing firewood, getting the Trail Center ready, lighting the candles and taking them down afterward, manning the campfire, our Trail Center hosts, making the chili and the baking the bars.
 
It was a fun evening for everyone who attended. People of all ages. Lots of kids. People from the surrounding area, but also Maple Grove, Moorhead, Fargo, Northfield, Cannon Falls, Watford City ND, and Bismarck.
